JOHN 13:1–17 (2021—2023) is a participatory performance in which the performer, dressed in fetish gear, washes the feet of the audience members willing to participate, referencing the Bible verse it is named after in which Jesus washes his disciples’ feet. In various iterations, interaction has been extended to include asking the audience how they show love to themselves. Performed at MANA Contemporary, NoNation Art Lab, and The Momentary.
