I’D BE YOUR DOG (2022) is a love letter in the form of self punishment. In this piece, the performer, attached to a retractable dog leash, wearing a handmade cardboard pup hood, and held by collaborator Jeremy Wong, aimed to run towards a voice. This unseen entity beckoned the performer forward, calling to and taunting the “dog”. The collaborator chose at random to stop the leash, pulling the performer back. This piece was performed at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
